Rare white lion auctioned off to be slaughtered for fun by trophy hunters

While there are many big cats that are endangered and yet very close to extinction, hunters continue to mercilessly murder them. A beautiful rare white lion named Mufasa in South Africa, was set to be auctioned off and sold to the highest bidder to brutally murder the lion for his own amusement. 

Mufasa along with another cub called Suraya were confiscated as babies three years ago from owners who decided to keep them without a permit. Multiple of sanctuaries offered to take in both Mufasa and Suraya for free rather than having the possibility of them being auctioned off however, Nature conservation authorities refused the offer. 

With only 300 breeds of this kind known worldwide and 13 in the wild, Nature conservation authorities demand that Mufasa shall be sold. The beast, Mufasa is infertile and cannot breed. For this reason the inhumane claims made upon this innocent creature by the authorities themselves was for the lion to be killed for fun or made into medicine.

Millions of people worldwide are taking the stand by voicing their support and signing a petition for the cause and disgust with the move to sell the ''beautiful'' creature. 

Wild for life foundation started a campaign to relocate Mufasa and Soraya to a sanctuary were they will be properly taken care of. They already raised 109 South African rand (just over €6600). The building of a new enclosure was set into motion by an unknown sponsor. 

Hopefully the South Africa's parliament will take action upon this issue, cease the auction for good and send Mufasa and Suraya to the sanctuary where they can happily live together.

Something has to be done to put an end to the selling, trading and captive breeding of lions taking place in South Africa and only the Parliament has the highest authority to put a stop to this corrupt strictly profit-driven system.
